Cooking together is also a great way for the family to spend time together after being away from each other during the day. Try to cook more at home rather than going out to eat. The reason being is because when you cook at home you are aware of what ingredients you are using and how much you are putting into your dishes. When eating out you may be aware of the ingredients that are being used but you can’t be sure of how much unhealthy ingredients could be used to make your dish.

When purchasing items from the grocery store, read the nutrition label and see if they have key nutrients to keep you and your family healthy. You want to try and avoid foods that are made with processed ingredients and go for the foods that are filled with natural ingredients.
