New Year Resolutions for a Beautiful Smile

The new year is just around the corner and we all have goals and resolutions for ourselves in order to start the new year off feeling happy, healthy and positive. You might have a list of goals for yourself already which is great but make sure that you make a goal to take care of your teeth too! Here is a list of new year resolutions for a beautiful smile.

  1.  Schedule an appointment to go see your dentist or orthodontist so that you can start the new year off with healthy teeth. Remember it’s important to see your dentist every six months so don’t forget to schedule an appointment for you and the family!
  2. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. As we all know, drinking water has many great health benefits such as keeping us hydrated throughout the day or helping to keep our mouth clean after eating. Drinking water is by far the best beverage for you!
  3. Watch what you are eating and make sure that you’re eating healthy. Not only is eating healthy for your body but it will keep your teeth healthy as well. Make sure that you’re eating foods and drinking beverages that won’t hurt your teeth or your body. 
  4. Make sure that you’re using the proper oral care hygiene products. This means that you’re using the right type of brush that your dentist recommends, a toothpaste containing fluoride, flossing and rinsing your mouth with a mouthwash.
  5. Get rid of any bad habits you have that could be harming your teeth as well as your body such as smoking, drinking alcohol or chewing on ice.

If you follow this list then you should be on the right track with starting off your new year with a healthy beautiful smile!
