  6. In the U.S., about 80% of strawberries are produced in California.
  7. Strawberries are perennial plants and when they do grow back each spring, they plant can last about five years.
  8. If you are planning to store strawberries, do not wash them until you are ready to eat them, as water can spoil them.
  9. You can find strawberries grown in every state in the U.S.
  10. Each spring, the strawberry is the first fruit to ripen.
