Available in liquid or pill form, these safe vegetable dyes will show you exactly where your cleaning regimen is working — and where it isn’t. Any areas around or under you’re braces that you’ve missed will be brightly colored by the temporary dye. That’s because the specially formulated dye stains all soft debris and bacterial plaque on teeth, making it painfully visible. After you’ve used the solution, use a hand-mirror and check out what still remains. Pay special attention to the pink-stained plaque scalloping the gum line and then get to work.
