Foods You Can Eat to Control Diabetes

Have you been told that you are pre-diabetic or that you have diabetes? If you answered yes, then your next step is learning how to control it especially when it comes to eating. There are specific foods that one shouldn’t eat because they are unhealthy and probably contributed to you getting diabetes in the first place. Yogurt – Yogurt, in general, is a great dairy product to help you lose weight, however eating greek yogurt is even better because it contains fewer grams. It’s also be recognized as helping to control blood sugar and even help with reducing the risk of heart disease.

Nuts – Nuts are great for you to eat because they are nutritious and contain fiber.

Extra-Virgin Olive Oil – This oil is great for the heart plus it contains ingredients that are helpful for your body whether it’s reducing inflammation or helping with cholesterol.

Strawberries – This delicious tasting fruit has an antioxidant that can help decrease levels of insulin after one eats and can also reduce cholesterol.

Garlic – This herb is great in reducing blood sugar and LDL cholesterol.

Other food items that can help control diabetes are Apple-Cider Vinegar, Broccoli, Cinnamon, Chia Seeds, Flaxseeds, Squash.
