Is it really possible to eat healthy during the holidays? You might be thinking it’s impossible, but if you follow these simple steps on eating healthy during the holidays then you should be just fine!

  1. If you’re throwing a holiday party make sure you choose healthy snacks, dishes, and desserts that you know you’d love and of course your guests will like too! If you’re planning on attending holiday parties, then it might be a good idea for you to bring a healthy dish of your own so that you know that in addition to eating other dishes, you’ll still have one healthy dish to get you through the night.
  2. If you really want to step up eating healthy a notch, then before you attend a holiday party, try eating at home, this way you’re sure to be eating healthy and you can treat yourself to a small dessert when you’re out partying the night away.
  3. We all find ourselves at the mall during the holidays and after all that running around and shopping you might want to grab something to eat. Rather than going to the food court or snacking on unhealthy food, why not save money and eat healthy by eating at home before you head out to do all your holiday shopping.
  4. If you know that you’re going to be attending holiday parties and eating lots and lots of food, then rather than keeping chips and cookies in your office drawer, consider keeping some healthy snacks with you in instead. By doing this you can be sure that you’ll at least be eating healthy while at work so you can indulge in those holiday treats while attending holiday parties.
  5. When going to parties, see if you can grab a small plate rather than a large plate, as this will help you with controlling your portions into a smaller amount. Also, with beverages, you can try using a small glass or cup. By opting to use a smaller plate and a smaller drinking cup you can be sure that you won’t end up eating so much.
  6. You might think that with all of this controlled eating, it would count for staying healthy but in addition to this, you must exercise. By exercising your body, you’re staying fit plus losing any extra weight that you may have gained.
  7. During the holiday’s everyone is busy baking and eating delicious sweet treats but make sure you don’t spoil yourself with too many sugary treats. Rather than indulging in a whole box of chocolate or cookies try having just one cookie a day.
