July Fourth Family Fun!
Let’s get your July Fourth party started with this list of family fun game ideas for everyone to enjoy!
Independence Day Costume Contest – When inviting all your guests over, encourage them to dress up as a patriotic character and then have everyone choose the best dressed. Whoever wins the costume contest can win a prize.
Patriotic Scavenger Hunt – This game can be played in a backyard or at your local park. Hide patriotic items such as flags, bells, miniature statues and, ribbons around the backyard or in the park and have everyone try and find as many items as possible. The person who returns with the most items found can win a goody-bag with small prizes.
Pie Eating Contest – Having a pie eating contest is not only fun but somewhat healthy too! Try and get a variety of pies with different fruits that way not only will your guests have fun but they’ll be able to enjoy their favorite pie in a contest! Whoever the winner is can get a free pie to take home and enjoy!
Make Your Own Flag – This fun arts and crafts activity is especially fun for young kids. Gather anything colored red, white and, blue and have everyone create their own version of the American Flag.
Patriotic Baking – Get everyone together and have a baking party! You can bake just about everything from pies to cookies to cakes but don’t forget to decorate everything with a patriotic theme. Baking a cake or some cookies in the shape of a flag or maybe bake cupcakes and use red, white and blue frosting! This definitely is a great way to get everyone together plus you get to enjoy some delicious tasting sweet treats afterward!
Movie Marathon – Is your family into movies? If so, then this might just be the perfect things for you and your family. Research and create a list of patriotic movies that everyone in your family can watch, then grab the popcorn and some beverages and relax. Not only is this a fun way to get your family together but everyone can learn a bit about American history too!
